Races Special to Kempin



The Isle of Swaldune is a place of powerful magics and dark politics. Mage Kings rule the island, and the power to rule is sealed with dark deals with demon lords. There was a time when Swaldune dragon-ships ruled the seas, and human blood ran freely at the hands of invading armies of Swaldune warriors. Those days have passed. In the aftermath of the war with the mainland, Swaldune has spent the last 100 years struggles to rebuild its power….

Swaldunes have pale white skin, and their hair is most often a shade of white (i.e. yellowish-white, gray-white, bluish-white, etc.) Their eyes have no pigment in them, making it appear that they have no pupils. Since the eyes are considered the windo to the soul, their eyes without pupils have caused other races to call Swaldunes the "Souless Ones." Adult male Swaldunes range from 6'0 to 6'8, with an average height of 6'4". They have a wiry muscular build, and tend to weigh less than a human of the same height would way. This gives their bodies a very thin defined look.


Ability score adjustments: +2 Intelligence, +2 Wisdom, -2 Constitution.

Favored Class: Sorcerer.

Can't be monks, bards, druids, paladins, or rangers.

Medium sized giving them a speed of 30 feet (same as humans and elves).

Language: Swaldune.
Bonus Languages: Draconic, Common, Norlund, Elvan, Ignan, Infernal, Undercommon.

Worship: Various demons through the use of Seals of Power.

Swaldunes have normal vision (like humans).

They are proficient with long sword and spear, and all bows except crossbows.


Special Abilities: Three times per day Swaldunes can cast the Resistance cantrip. Once per day each they can cast the Detect Magic and Read Magic cantrips. These cantrips can be cast regardless of the Swaldune's class or level, and are the result of their natural affinity for magic. (Not sure this will ever matter, but) the cantrips are always cast at the 1st level of ability, no matter what the Swaldunes actual character level.
